Urbanthinkers has been specializing in youth engagement since 1995.

The Adult Facilitator Training workshop is an interactive full-day session. Founded on the six-part Orsini model, this workshop prepares several participants to join Urbanthinkers as co-facilitators for the subsequent Youth Leader Start-Up and On-Site Moving Forward workshops at local schools or youth centres.

Child & youth leaders are the CHANGE AGENTS - already motivated, but looking for local opportunities to take action. With training & support, they can be the ones to bring their peers along the flow of behaviour change. We can help you recruit change agents in your community. We have been recognized internationally for achieving results in child- & youth-engagement and we can help you build on our successes. Through hands-on activities, real-life examples, and skill-building exercises, adult facilitators will develop the following skills: recruit youth partners motivate the energy of youth leaders to contribute collaborate to broaden your outreach build skills within the youth team achieve group and individual goals recognize the achievement and personal growth of youth partners
To prepare for the workshop, participants complete a pre-workshop questionnaire that investigates your community's unique needs.

Student Leader - age 18

In 2007 Arthur played an instrumental role in facilitating a student led committee that initiated the schools first annual “BikeFest.” This one day event brought together wacky bikes, alternative powered equipment, a local band, and a generous amount of cycling related activities. Over a three month planning period Arthur demonstrated his ability to foster a positive environment for discussion that allowed each of us to move into positions and roles that were important to us.
